OUR WALK-IN BLOOD SERVICE WILL CEASE WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Patients who need to come in for important blood tests will instead be given an appointment time. This helps us to reduce the numbers of patients in our waiting room.
Please telephone the surgery on 01984 632701

Blood Tests / Phlebotomy Clinic

Your doctor or nurse may request you to have a blood test as part of your health care. When this is the case, to provide a quick and convenient service to our patients, we operate a walk-in blood test service at our Williton Surgery each week day morning between 8.30 and 11.00 am.

Bookable appointments are also available at our Watchet Surgery.

Results

Sometimes you may be asked to contact the surgery for the result of an investigation. Please call 01984 632701 after 2.00 pm.

Although, in normal circumstances, we will contact you if there is anything abnormal or any cause for concern following receipt of your test results.

A member of staff can give information only if a doctor has seen the results. In order to maintain confidentiality we can only give details to patients themselves, or to the parents of children.

It is often a good idea to discuss the significance of the result with your doctor and the doctor may ask you to make a follow-up appointment for this reason.

Enquiries about tests ordered by the hospital should usually be directed to the Consultant’s secretary at the hospital.
