Arrange free use of council car park adjacent to site ( nearly empty on Saturdays) for 24 hours. Only a few surgery spaces means accidents waiting to happen as elderly people panic, try and grab a space or cannot see whilst reversing! Absolute chaos.

Went for my flu jab last Saturday. Everything was very organised they were ahead of schedule and I was in and out in no time. The only thing I would query is I was not told what type of jab I had been given but I expect that is on my NHS record.

Having the jab itself was very quick, but with so many people being there, i had to queue up to park, and being disabled , waiting for a space i was in the way. It took 3 times longer to park than to get into the surgery, get the jab, and return to the car. I had to wait for ages to get out the car park.

Always friendly and efficient. My GP and all the nurses are very helpful and go above and beyond, it is always a pleasure speaking/seeing them.
Also, when I ring to either mke an appointment or request repeat prescriptions, the staff are always cheerful, friendly and helpful, despite the heavey workload pressure that they are all under.
I feel very lucky and well cared for.

From arrival, with reception staff asking patients to check in with them rather than slow moving line using the automated check-in system. Dr’s and practitioners focused on giving patients their vaccination and moving along, not quite Formula 1 but worked a treat.

The use of technology has made visiting the surgery far simpler, both to set up the appointment and sign in once there. No waiting on the phone to book the appointment and once there, confirming that I have arrived, without having to wait for a receptionist.

My appointment with a GP was arranged by a nurse practitioner as a follow up to an issue that she felt required a second opinion. That appointment followed on reasonably quickly.
The GP at the second consultation required a blood test and a further follow-up appointment which has been scheduled but no yet taken place. As a man of 75 years of age, I appreciate the thoroughness with which my issue is being treated.
I feel that every effort is being made to resolve my condition and to ensure that there are no other, as yet unknown, issues which need to be addressed.

I was called in by the GP Aas soon as I checked in.
I was reassured about a small area on my hand that hasn’t healed after more than a year and another area on my leg was dealt with there and then.
I was also reassured that I had done the right thing in having my skin checked, as my type of skin is prone to sun damage.
I will book future checkups if necessary with confidence.

My appointment with Nurse Richards was excellent. She was efficient but treated me like a human being, recognising my efforts to stay fit.
The follow-up from the doctor was less so. Whilst I recognise that our doctors are all overstretched and a text message is quicker than a telephone call, let alone a face to face appointment (neither of which I needed or want), the wording of the text definitely led to a rise in my blood pressure!
I realise that every effort I make to improve my health is in my own interests and I have been making a huge dietary effort to control my cholesterol, to the extent that I have to assume that my condition is hereditary. As a result, I immediately decided to try statins and hope they work.
What would have been encouraging would have been one extra sentence in the text that acknowledged my efforts and basically gave the message that this is probably not my fault. We all need encouragement and a little compassion does not go astray.

Overall the health centre and doctors are good but there are problems.
No free seat in waiting room to sit down. I know they need to be spaced but you can’t expect ill people to stand.
Receptionists are mixed, there are nice helpful ones but also rude, mean and impatient ones. It makes ringing up a horrible experience as it’s a coin toss how you will be treated.
If putting people off is the goal, this is cruel as it can lead to people not seeking medical care when they desperately need it. This leads to a drain of resources down the line when the condition gets worse.
The nurse I saw was friendly and efficient. The wait wasn’t too bad considering they were under strain.

I am grateful for the vaccination. However the experience is very impersonal. No questions, the doctor did not say a word, no information sharing from the nurse It is my understanding that informed consent is required?

I was booked in quickly by receptionist. The Nurse was very friendly and efficient. I always have a very positive experience when visiting or ringing the surgery.

Easy to sign in. Only sat down for 30 seconds before being called. Vaccination simple and efficiently given, in and out of surgery in 2 minutes. Nurse very pleasant and knew what she was doing.
