The care of patients outside normal surgery hours and at weekends has been centralised and is managed by the Somerset Primary Care Trust. This service is intended for emergencies only, so please do not call if your problem can wait until the next working day.
To contact a doctor when the surgery is closed at weekends and between the hours of 6.30 pm and 8.00 am Monday to Friday, please telephone the main number (01984 632701) and your call will automatically be forwarded to the Somerset Out of Hours Medical Service. They will deal with your call and, if necessary, arrange for you to see a doctor either at the Minehead Minor Injuries Unit or at your home if appropriate. You can also phone them direct on 0845 408 8000.
If you or a member of your family become critically ill and need immediate medical treatment, you should telephone 999 and ask for an ambulance.
